Wake Up, Girls! (abbreviated as WUG) was an idol group created for the Wake Up, Girls! franchise. It was formed through the "avex x 81produce Wake Up, Girls! AUDITION 2nd Anisong Vocal Audition", which was held in 2012. Since then, they active both as an idol voice actor unit in real life and a fictional group in the anime universe. In addition, each of it's members also individually active as a voice actor.

Started from 2014, Wake Up, Girls! held a large scale live events, such as Wake Up, Girls! Festa, which are held annually every summer with a nationwide tour. They also appeared in many events such as Animelo Summer Live, ANIMAX MUSIX and other live events, also in many events where artists and works are gathered such as Machi ★ Asobi. On March 6th, 2015, the reconstruction support activities they held to the Great East Japan Earthquake was evaluated as "A voice actor, work, activity etc. that did not apply to any prize, but had a special activity to recognize", which brings them awarded the special prize from Seiyu Awards.

Not only as a voice actors, on January 29th, 2017, this unit triggered the creation of Wake Up, Girls! Seven Idols movie receiving a live-action stage musical adaptation entitled "Wake Up, Girls! Record of Green Leaves" (Wake Up, Girls! 青葉の記憶 Wake Up, Girls! Aoba no Kiroku?) in Tokyo in January of 2017, where the original voice cast will be reprising their roles for the play.

In 2016, Wake Up, Girls! marked for expanding their activities and tie-up with other works aside their own franchise by performing the Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume TV anime ending's theme.

It has disbanded since March 2019
