Kaya Kikuma (菊間 夏夜 Kikuma Kaya?) nicknamed Kayatan, is one of the main characters in Wake Up, Girls! anime series. She is the sub-leader of an idol group, Wake Up, Girls! where she joined after going through the audition in late 2013. Her image color is green and her image animal is crocodile.

Kaya has slightly wavy mid-back length dirty blonde hair and wide green eyes.
Personality[]
As the oldest member of the group, Kaya always put others first before her. She is generous and always supportive towards her friends and family. Kaya was originally from Kesennuma, living with her aunt after her parents died when she was young. Kaya then left for Sendai and worked various part-time jobs after the fishing vessel "Shotomaru", in which her childhood friend was among the passengers, went missing 3 years prior to the start of the series. She joined the Wake Up, Girls! on a whim and originally planned to leave if she got bored, but has since dedicated herself to be with the group. She is described by other members of the group as often having an aggressive and blunt personality.

- The name Kaya means "summer" (夏) (ka) and "night, evening" (夜) (ya).
- Kaya's surname Kikuma means "chrysanthemum" (菊) (kiku) and "while, time, interval, space, pause, chamber, room, apartment, leisure, chance, entr'acte, intervening, as" (間) (ma).
